Feather Touch

This type of massage uses very little pressure. It is not geared toward the muscles, but toward the skin itself and all of the nerve endings within it. The entire massage is done with the palms and fingertips brushing lightly across the skin. Long, slow strokes can be used to soothe the nerve endings, while quicker, shorter movements will have a tendency to stimulate the skin and nerves. Typically, a combination of both strokes will be used during the massage session.
